The Bottom Line
The essential fact to remember is that drugs are not a
cure for hypertension. Furthermore, simple lifestyle changes
lower blood pressure quickly, and can in many cases lead to a complete
normalisation without drugs.
We are not talking about suppressing symptoms, but
about eliminating, or sufficiently reducing, the underlying
factors that contribute to abnormally raised BP. In a word,
lifestyle changes that result in a natural good diet and adequate
amounts of exercise hold the key to beating hypertension.
The benefits of correct
lifestyle cannot be overemphasised. If your hypertension
responds well to these minor changes you make in your life, then
there is every chance that you can avoid drugs all together.
And if you must take drugs, then the amount you take
will almost certainly be reduced.
The book available on this site contains information and
advice on how to quickly bring the body back into balance, by following
a very simple but effective adjustment plan. It involves only
some minor changes such as cutting down on harmful foods, adding nutritious foods and introducing some normal level exercise, such as walking or climbing stairs.
It reassures you that you are not alone and that many before you have successfully gotten their health back and kept it.
You will discover the effort involved
is truly minuscule. And once you have experienced the effects,
you will be further encouraged to continue. The best encouragement,
in fact, is to see the reading on your blood pressure gauge steadily and surely coming down.
The central theme of this book is concerned with balance.
In this regard, everyone will recall the saying of the ancient
Greek philosopher Aristophanes:
"Moderation in all things" he once said.
However, we might add: except when it comes to moderation itself. Always
be excessive with moderation!
This may be a little radical as a general rule in life,
for it is nice, and perhaps necessary, to exceed the boundaries
very occasionally. But for a person who has, for whatever
reason, gone over the limit perhaps for many years, a
severe application of moderation may be in order until balance
is restored. After which a moderate application of moderation
will maintain an optimum homeostasis and general good health
in life.
No Miracles. Just common sense
It will be seen by anyone following the plan set out in
the book that the outcome of correct living can be felt within
weeks. And also that a significant
change in blood pressure will be noted in as
little as 2 or 3 weeks, depending on your particular condition.
No miracle cure is presented to achieve this, and indeed none
is necessary - unless one counts the body's exquisite skill
in restoring itself to health as being miraculous, if given
half a chance.
Indeed, this is the first recommendation
to anyone seeking a solution to the misery of powerful drugs: give your body a chance. Don't knock it out with drugs and then complain because you still feel ill! By giving your body what it needs, the depressing gloom of a future
in the shadow of hypertension will lift. For this reason you are encouraged to read this small book, provided free to those who are interested.
Comments are keenly welcomed with interest from everyone, both
those who are having success in combating hypertension by
applying the principles set out, and those having difficulty. All correspondence
without exception will be happily answered.
It remains for me to wish everyone reading this book a
return to good and lasting health, founded upon nothing
more than a return to natural, common sense living.
